Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top offensive commits. Four-star running back and Florida commit Nay’Quan Wright has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a big signing for the Gators as Wright was one of Mullen’s biggest targets and committed to Florida after their win over FSU. Mullen likes Wright’s skill set as he is a bulldozing running back and can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators offense in the future. This is the third RB Mullen has signed at Florida as Dameon Pierce and Iverson Clement signed last class. Nay’Quan Wright is the only running back in the Florida Gators 2019 recruiting class.

Who is Nay’Quan Wright?

Nay’Quan Wright is a four-star running back out of Miami Carol City Senior High School in Carol City, Florida. The Florida running back commit is one of the top running backs in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Florida had to battle with Georgia and Miami for Wright. He really took off in recruiting with a terrific summer and senior season with the Carol City Chiefs. Wright signed with Florida over Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Miami and Notre Dame.

On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Wright is the 264th ranked recruit and the 15th ranked running back in the country. On Rivals, Wright is the 172nd ranked recruit and the third ranked all-purpose back in the country. The Gators have added a really solid running back who could really make an impact in the future. Being an early signee, Florida has locked in on Wright and happy with their running back class. Wright will need to fight to get some touches next season as Florida has a lot of talented running backs coming back.
