Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top defensive commits. Four-star outside linebacker and Florida commit Mohamoud Diabate has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is the fifth linebacker Mullen has signed in his first two recruiting classes at the University of Florida. Mohamoud Diabate is the fourth linebacker in the class with Diwun Black, Jesiah Pierre and Tyron Hopper.

Who is Mohamoud Diabate?

Mohamoud Diabate is a four-star outside linebacker out of Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama. The Florida outside linebacker commit is one of the top linebackers in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Florida had to fight off some of the top SEC programs. Diabate really took off in recruiting once he committed to Florida and schools recruited him harder. Diabate signed with Florida over Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

On 247 Sports, Diabate is the 136th ranked recruit and the ninth ranked outside linebacker in the country . On ESPN, Diabate is the 179th ranked recruit and the 15th ranked outside linebacker in the country. The Gators have added an elite outside linebacker who could really make an impact in the future. Being an early enrollee, Diabate will be able to learn the playbook quicker and might get some playing time.
